I fished the Pendragon stretc htoday despite the weather. The sport was fantastic when I hooked into my first fish. Even though the water was coloured the fish were rising into the foam lines picking off the trapped terrestrials when I caught the first fish of the day (pictured in hand).

After waiting patiently for about an half hour, casting half a dozen times then waiting a couple of minutes, I was rewarded with my second fish of about 14-15 ounces (see picture attached).

After a tea break the light began to fade and me and my fishing partner decided to give it one more go. We came across a large pool surrounded by foam swirls and deep dark pools. A large fly producing a large shadow, an olive sedge or mayfly, caught the final fish of the day weighing about 11-12 ounces.

Well worth a visit to this rarely fished section. Very few fish but lots of sport once they are on.

All the best and tight lines !!!
