First time out

I had just got back from holiday and saw it as my first chance to get on the river.

Spent the afternoon above Musgrave bridge with a stiff breeze blowing upstream. There were plenty of LDO's coming off and I managed to fool a small 8" trout to have a go at an F fly.

Pretty soon the rise was over so I resorted to wet fly up and downstream and caught a 12" trout.

Not bad for the first time out.

Both fish were returned.
