I spent this afternoon between Swindale Beck and the Belah.  A constant trickle of flies of various kinds coming off despite the blazing sun.  End result - 4 fish trout between 10 & 12 inches and all returned.  Not too bad considering that I fished like it was the first time I'd had a rod in my hand and managed to hook and lose another 4.

On another subject, has anyone else noticed an increase in the number of grayling this year?  I've just gone through a spell where that's all I was catching.  No complaints though - one or two were decent fish.
