Fishing
diary - a record of my fishing in 2003
Contributed by Brian Kirkwood (15.03.2003)
I
have been a member of Kirkby Stephen Anglers for several years during
which time I have fished the Eden and the Belah on a regular basis.
This is a record of my fishing in 2003. This diary is not written
retrospectively. It is written as a diary should be - recorded on
the day for better or for worse - for posterity. Blanks are of interest
as well as successes. Like any diary it will stand as an historical
record. Before the season begins there is no way of knowing how
it will proceed or how it will end. I do have some thoughts on how
things may turn out based on my experiences and observations over
previous seasons. I will share these thoughts with readers as I
go along. My interest in the Eden is not confined to fishing. Wildlife,
particularly bird life and entomology are also of value to me. At
times I will wax lyrical on these subjects. Like any angler I am
prone to recounting times past. If you share these interests then
I hope this record of my experiences and thoughts on the 2003 season
will interest you. For a record of my experiences this season please
read my regular reports.
